Noise matters: faculty member honored for contribution to modeling the economic impacts of climate change

Assistant Professor Raphael Calel of the McCourt School of Public Policy has shared the 2021 Lloyd’s Science of Risk prize for his work, published in Nature Communications, incorporating the uncertainty of annual fluctuations in global temperatures, as well as their upward trend, into models of the costs of climate change.
