Proposal Transmittal Form

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS ("PIs"), PLEASE NOTE: If you plan to submit a proposal in the amount of $3,000,000 or above, the Provost wishes to have a "proposal kick-off meeting" to discuss logistics of proposal preparation and submission. Please notify Deborah Marshall at dm1263 @ georgetown.edu and she will take the lead in scheduling the meeting.

Proposal Management System is now in TRACS

Effective immediately, the Office of Research Services (ORS) is now using the TRACS system for proposal routing for all Main Campus, Law Center and University Services proposals.

Short instruction manuals are available as follows:

Please log into Interneer using your Net-ID and password. If you have difficulty logging into the system, please e-mail tracshelp @ georgetown.edu for assistance.

The TRACS system is preprogrammed so that when a faculty member logs in to the system to route a proposal, the proposal will route according to a preset routing scheme. PIs should enter their four digit home department number, e.g., 2008, so that ORS has the correct information on file.

The proposal will remain the same as with the former ORS routing system. For example, a principal investigator in Biology will have the proposal routed to the Chair, the Senior Business Manager, the College Dean, and to the relevant ORS Grants and Contracts Administrator. Each signatory in the system will receive an email alerting them that a proposal is available for review. As the signatory approves the proposal, it is automatically sent to the next person in the process.

Instructions for Rejected Proposals

PIs are advised to monitor the progress of their proposals in the TRACS system. If a signatory rejects or conditionally approves your proposal, you must check the system to verify the status of your proposal. You will NOT be notified by email.
